Pointer Remote for PowerPoint and Keynote App Reviews

Easy to use terrific app if you ever need to be away from your laptop while giving a talk. Pointer function is also very useful.

I bought it for the apps ability to flip through slides on keynote AND powerpoint. However, I quickly learned that you can also use it as a TRACKPAD!!! So for .99 this is definitely worth it. The official keynote remote app may look cooler and even can preview what the next slides are but a)doesnt work with anything other than keynote, which is fine if thats what youre looking for b)its much more expensive. Yes, you have to download an app(for free) on their website but thats what makes it secured to your personal computer. Once thats done forget ever having to get up out of your chair. This really impresses lots of my friends, including my friend who works for apple. Enjoy!

It just does NOT work. It used to work ok when I bought it, but it stops working two slides into the presentation (even staying by the laptop). Youre better off using the Apple remote (even without the pointer).

The pointer is just a cursor witch cant be changed for me and music had to be on the slide for it to even work

Found a bug, emailed company, received a response requesting more details within minutes. Within a couple hours, received a 2nd message with a fixed server application attached. This is a one-man shop, so this kind of response is AWESOME!! Well worth the money.

Nice concept but screen lag, random freeze ups, cursor control that doesnt work and other bugs make this unusable for any serious presentation. When it did work, I liked the ability to annotate the slides on screen rather than use the awkward PPT feature. should have put my dollar toward a real RF remote.

Zentropy Softwares Pointer is the fourth controller I have tried and, so far, the only one that will allow me to move quickly and easily between controlling a presentation and entering data on an unrelated web site without having to re-connect the controller Wi-Fi every time I return to my presentation. In addition, the pen and cursor functions work quite well, and the oval and box features are an unexpected, and very nice, bonus. I just wish it had Presenter Mode so that I could see the upcoming slide before I show it to my students. It really is the best Wi-Fi PowerPoint controller in the App Store.

A must have for power point or keynote users….

App is good, but without important function. I cant control pointer via Accelerometer or gyroscope. It will be wonderful...

When you go to install on your computer you have to have Apple product to use. I could not find a place in add where it said only for Apple/Mac of Power PC. Removed program from IPad because could not communicate with PC. Very disappointed.

Could not get it to work.

Just picked this up for a presentation. Pretty simple to pair with my Mac, but the image on my iPad is crap. I can read my notes fortunately, but the screen image is horrible and completely unreadable. If you just want to see your notes, its a decent choice, but nothing more.

It looked useful but after buying I found out you have to download another software and it wont work on PC.

This app works great on my iPhone with my Mac! I love the option to write on the slide Im showing. Great big buttons for next/previous slide was helpful.

I have a new MacBook pro and a new iPhone an this app isnt connecting with my computer even after the computer download saying "PowerPC applications no longer supported."

Worked great on my home network but not on the network at university. Bummer

Ripoff dont do it

This is exactly what I was looking for. At times it drops the connection but the best way to guarantee a connection is to create a network on your MacBook and connect your iPad to that network. I gave a presentation in front of 1800 people with it. Worked like a charm!

They dont tell you this till you buy the app, but the pc server is still in beta. I didnt try too hard but I downloaded all the software and I gave up after it didnt work in five or ten minutes. Maybe a more Persiansant customer would have better luck. Bu I do wish they would disclose that pc is still in beta before I bought this.

This program does not work. Dont waste your money!
