Pointer Remote for PowerPoint and Keynote App Reviews

Better off with the keynote remote in terms of functionality.

It baffles me that there isnt a killer Keynote controller for the iPhone or iPad out there. This is inching closer to the magic, but isnt quite there. Im using a 2009 MBP along with a new iPad and/or iPhone 4S. All of the controls work great, with one exception. I cant get the actual slide or presenter notes to display on my iPad or iPhone. I have contacted their customer support about it, and well see if I can get it resolved. If I can, Ill change this to a 4 or 5 star review. Heres hoping!

I had to make a two hour technical presentation to a group of engineers and marketers from a large corporation. The goal was to get them to use my product in their training school. I purchased pointer for my Mac and iPad one week before the presentation. I tried it out and had one issue with the next screen display not working. I sent an email to tech support and they were back to me within a few hours. Turned out I didnt know how to read instructions and it worked fine. When I made the presentation, it was in a high tech classroom with the display above and behind me with a mirrored display on my podium. There was no way to use either a physical pointer or a laser pointer. I used a cross hair loop pointer as the custom pointer on the iPad and was able to see what I was pointing to on the mirrored display while still facing the audience. It worked flawlessly and they ended up agreeing to feature my product in their school. The folks giving this low ratings must be using the pc version because I had no issues with the Mac version. My only criticism would be the appearance of the program could use a little polish.

I downloaded the program for mac that is need to run this app. Error popped up saying app hasnt been approved???

While it was easy to pair my computer and iPhone, when you actually try to control the presentations, the application constantly freezes up. Never got it to work!

This is by far the best presentation app. Im running iPhone 5 and a 15" MacBook Pro. I setup a local computer-to-computer network on my MacBook and then connected to it using the wifi connection on my iPhone 5. Everyone was amazed how I controlled the ppt from my iPhone. Do not buy the iclickr app; its 10x the price of this one. Thank god for this handy app. Saved my life today and impressed the group.

Wish I had read the reviews. This doesnt work. Their claims need to be accompanied by all the things you need to do for it to possibly work. And also,y computer said the developer was questionable. Is there a refund process. This was a rip-off.

I bought and PAID for this app! Then it loads and says I need to download the software onto my computer. Tried to open the website and it doesnt exist. I tried a search no website. Gerry I want my money back! I dont care if it was only a dollar.

This is soooooo awesome!! Once setup everything needed following the instruction, it works perfectly!!!

This function is built in the Keynote 6.2

Asks for connection to server. Download to my macbook said it was not allowed and program was not in iTunes for MacBook programs. So much for 99 cents.

I wish I had read the reviews better… this was horrible. You have to download an app on your computer which my Mac Pro will not run because it was not purchased in the iTunes store. I was able to use this app at all.

Does not work. Product apparently not updated with Apple updates over the years. I write this in November 2014. Note other comments go back several years. No response from support. I tried with MacBook Pro and iPhone 5

I got everything ready to start but the app is unresponsive so I cant do it

After following all the instructions, whenever I open the app on my phone, it sees my computer but the phone screen is unresponsive. I cant click on my computer or even get the information button to respond. I wish I could get it to work. I am using Yosemite and iPhone 6.

I had a two hour presentation and the minute I turned it on it wouldnt shoot a pointer out of my phone and tried using it to play with my kitten and it worked just fine! DO NOT GET THIS APP!!!!! It is crap!
